Access to the Lake

Access to the Lake

The lake is accessed via two lockable gates, one five bar gate opens into a public bridleway and the other large gate accesses the Fishery in earnest. This means the lake is located in a secluded and fenced off location. Therefore you can be confident in the safety of your vehicle and tackle whilst fishing. Three quarters of the lake (3 banks) can be accessed by car with tackle being dropped at your swim and the car then moved immediately back to one of the two car parks situated at each end of the lake.

The tracks and Car Parks are well maintained and accessible with all types of vehicle and 4x4’s are not required.

The fourth bank can be accessed on foot only using the paths provided. Vehicles can be driven to the end of the tarmac tracks, trolly loaded up and the vehicle returned to the car parks which means that there’s no swim further than a 150-200 metre walk with the trolley.
