Westbourne House Syndicate Fishery opens at 9am on 1st March 2010.
In December 2009 Future Fisheries Ltd had the privilege of purchasing the freehold of a 30 acre gravel pit on the outskirts of Chichester in West Sussex.
This water has the ideal rich and varied aquatic habitat to produce very large specimen coarse fish including Carp. Its terrestrial surroundings are very young but attractive and the pit also has an underwater topography that will prove a very interesting challenge for any angler.
The lake had been left untouched over many years and has only been irregularly fished for one year (2009) by a smaller syndicate. During that year it was discovered that there were approximately 15 – 20 resident carp but they were mostly 30 plus and that around 5-6 of these are 40 plus. One of these bigger Carp is a particularly large uncaught Common which has been regularly seen alongside other 40+ known fish making them look small. Clearly there are a few surprises in the lake.
Since we have taken over the water we have constructed access, safe car parking and comfortable swims where necessary. With regard to our plans for additional stock we have already stocked 7 of our top Italian Mirrors to 22Ib alongside 52 other Mirrors and Commons between 12 and 20Ibs. Most of these were between 14 and 17Ibs. More of our quality Italians will be hand selected from our farmed stock elsewhere and introduced as time goes by. The first batch of these will be added this autumn.
This new syndicate was filled quickly with 50 members and the waiting list is already closed and will not open again until 1st January 2011. Those interested in joining should email us after that date. The new Westbourne House Syndicate under Future Fisheries Ltd is open to its members for angling from 9am on 1st March 2010.
